Brother Dave’s Traveling Damnation Show

Being mistaken for the boyfriend of a homophobic televangelist and kidnapped at gunpoint isn’t a great way to begin a Friday evening, but when sex, religion, and gunplay collide, surprises are bound to happen. It’s all part of the show when Brother Dave’s Travelling Damnation Show comes to town. (M/M)

The gunman launches himself forward on his toes, leaping at Freddie, pushing the barrel of the gun against his nostril, pushing hard until the blood drains from his cheeks.

“What would Jesus do, Freddie?”

“Forgive me.”

The gunman snorts and backhands Freddie. He runs across the room and slides his arm along a sofa-back table sending a dozen white Pottery Barn vases filled with silk daisies spinning off onto the floor near my feet.

“Forgive you? Forgive? You? You crazy self-righteous hypocrite! Why the fuck would I forgive you and your parade of pansy-boy butt-fuckers? Huh? Why would I forgive you something like that, Freddie? It is an abomination, Freddie, an abomination! Why would I forgive you for that?”

“You asked me what Jesus would do,” Freddie says in a matter-of-fact voice that tells me he has regained control. Beside him Katherine rocks and prays, lips moving relentlessly.

“I’ll tell you what Jesus would do. Jesus would get his rocks off watching the choirboy suck me off.”

My cheeks burn hot, but I cannot look away.
